My X factor in my recipe project was how the emotion was able to reach the reader. My writing about how the food I chose for my presentation was like home to me is relatable to different readers. Even though there have been many different variations of this food, it can always be custom to the user. This is a comfort food they can make you feel like you’re at home in a place where you might feel like an outsider. This food can really help out the family or make someone feel better in the community that they are in. The story attached to the memory is what a person will really remember after eating it.
For some people food is an escape for them and food that makes them feel at home is very important to have in their life. Some people might make these foods just to feel the comfort of home or a homy environment. This is only for them to cook when in new or unfamiliar environments that they are in. They come as a way that they can navigate their environment that they know doesn’t feel like it’s home yet.
The way my presentation explained a comfort food to me and how it makes me feel to eat it shows that I can recognize when I’m not home and how I want to eat something that I’m familiar with. The story that I provided for my presentation was so relateble because it was a way for the reader to understand where I’m coming from and what I connected with and feel about this certain type of food. The readers can understand my point of you when I’ve put it in the way that I did because the wording and emotion put into it can translate when they are reading it.
